Clogher Road – Planting

During the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in late 2021, we purchased 8000 pollinator friendly bulbs to plant in the area. Seeking to engage with a diverse range of local members of the community, local businesses and DCC. The Clogher Road planting took 6 hours and involved 50 volunteers from the local polish scout group, local residents groups(Sundrive, Rutland Grove), councillors, local residents and Bloomin’ Crumlin volunteers.
Bulbs included: Muscari Armeniacum (Grape hyacinth), 4000 bulbs,  Crocus tommasinianus (Ruby Giant), 1000 bulbs,  Camassia Quamash, 1000 bulbs, Allium (purple sensation), 1000 bulbs,  Eranthis Hyemalis, 630 bulbs, Leucojum Aestivum (Snowflakes), 500 bulbs.
Unfortunately it was the last big event that volunteer Dee Williams took part in before she passed away in 2021.
