Our Work

At Bloomin’ Crumlin, we’re more than a biodiversity group—we’re a community of changemakers bringing green projects to life across every corner of Crumlin. From our flagship community gardens and pollinator planters, to tree-mapping initiatives, heritage trails, litter-picking campaigns and educational workshops, every project is driven by local passion and expertise. Guided by the Crumlin Biodiversity Action Plan and informed by neighbour surveys and academic research, we collaborate with schools, community centres and councils to nurture thriving habitats, empower volunteers and celebrate our shared green legacy. Together, we grow, learn and bloom.

Biodiversity, Planting & Growing Initiatives

Bloomin’ Crumlin offers ongoing community initiatives focused on greening the area, with some activities being seasonal, providing opportunities for locals to get involved throughout the year. From planting projects to clean-up events, there’s something for everyone to contribute to.

Cleanup & Litter Initiatives

We lead weekly litter cleanups, advocate for improved waste infrastructure, and actively report illegal dumping working closely with the Dublin City Council. Through tidy town competitions and circular economy campaigns, we aim to reduce waste, enhance local pride, and promote sustainable practices.

Creative

We spearhead creative projects such as mural workshops, documentaries, and community library boxes to enrich local culture and foster engagement. These initiatives provide platforms for artistic expression and knowledge sharing, enhancing community cohesion and creativity.

Active Travel

We work with local schools, businesses, and Dublin City Council to improve routes, install bike racks, run bike tune-ups and run community cycles. Together, we’re reducing car dependency, cutting emissions, and making our streets more vibrant and accessible for everyone.

Reports & Plans

We have developed a number of community reports, studies and planss. Dive in to see how our data‑driven approach and collective vision are shaping a greener, more vibrant Crumlin.
